Reverence 1:1
My 1:1 work is deep, somatic and relational, working with the wholeness of women and the relationship they have with self, others and their lives.
This isn’t just valid for women who’ve experienced sexual trauma, it’s for any woman who wants to deepen the relationship she has with herself, her life and those in it.
It’s a returning not a quick fix.
The Reverence Method™ holds the full scope of my work: my training, my clinical and somatic experience, and my own lived journey. It brings together the pillars that support women to restore nervous system health, process trauma, attune to the true rhythms of the female body, and reclaim their sexuality, vitality and aliveness. Themes that support real autonomy and inner safety.
Rather than switching between modalities, the pillars meet and inform one another in response to what's present and what you desire. The body leads the work. Pace, safety, and capacity guide how and when / if certain pillars unfold.
This is a space that honours complexity and autonomy. Insight, sensation, emotion, mess and meaning are allowed to coexist, creating the conditions for women to return to their bodies and their wholeness
Available both online & in-person.

I am a therapist. I am also a woman who in 2024 began healing from sexual trauma and an abusive relationship.
In the aftermath, I was fortunate. Fortunate to find a somatic therapist who used breathwork, who wasn't afraid to bring the relational dynamic into the room helping me heal wounds that live between people. I was fortunate that he named sexuality when the time was right, because he could see that sexual trauma needed space for sexual healing too. Fortunate to find a bodyworker I could tell my story to, who met my fascia through touch with the full picture of what my body had carried.
These practitioners weren't afraid to name things. They saw all of me, not just the parts that fit neatly into their modality.
As a therapist myself, I let that ripple into my own practice. I wasn't afraid to mention sexuality. I wasn't scared to bring hands-on touch into somatic therapy, to blend parts work into breathwork. Blending all my skills together to be in greater service to the woman in front of me because I felt and seen ‘therapy’ wasn’t enough.
What confused me was how separate it all felt, the rigid boundaries I absorbed in training, the barriers. Why couldn't we use touch? or breathwork? Why are so many therapists too afraid to bring sexuality, or the pelvis, into the room with someone whose trauma originates there? Why did I have to travel to Europe every time I wanted to explore something that could profoundly support my body? When the time was right, why wasn't aliveness or pleasure spoken about as a medicine to explore alongside trauma? Why is numbness and lack of intimacy just accepted? Why, when I mentioned the wild woman in previous therapy, did I get blank looks back? Why don't more women even know this kind of holistic support exists?
Reverence exists because I noticed the gap, I refused to keep doing a dis-service to women, and I refused to stay in a box. This became the intention with which I meet clients and facilitate my work. To be in service to women, for me, is an act of reverence.
"I worked with Lydia for over a year and during that year I can hand on heart say (as cliché as it sounds) it deeply transformed who I am as a person. Before, I felt like I had this massive disconnection from myself and my life, like I was constantly on autopilot, and with Lydia's support I was finally able to feel again, to reconnect to myself, to come home to myself. I had talk therapy before starting with Lydia but I felt like I'd reached my limit, there wasn't much further I could go with it. But from the moment I met Lydia, she helped me dive so much deeper. With that, she always respected me, my body and my capacity for what I could hold, which is incredibly important when working through trauma. I feel incredibly lucky to have found someone who can hold space the way Lydia can. Throughout all our sessions, she made me feel safe, seen, and truly held, which, evidently, made me feel safe enough to see and hold myself."
"It's absolutely crazy to think back to the me who walked through your door, how lost, burnt out and disconnected I was. In hindsight it was make or break, my body was screaming at me to recognise it, and I genuinely think I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Taking the step into working with you gave me a life raft to keep my head above the water when I felt like I was on the verge of being pulled under. I suppose in some senses, I'm still learning how to swim, and I'd be lying if I said that didn't scare me sometimes. But for the first time in my life I can say I'm connected to my body. For the first time ever, I have a desire to deepen and find that connection, and get to the roots of every part of me, past and present."
"Working with Lydia using parts work has been such a powerful journey. After years of talk therapy, I'd reached a point where I felt like I couldn't go any further on an intellectual level. I understood so much in my head, but I still felt disconnected from my body, from myself. Parts work has felt like a key to unlocking a door that had been held shut for so many years. It's given me a way to begin seeing and understanding the different parts of myself, how they formed, and the ways they've tried to protect me. Being able to meet these parts with compassion, instead of shame or fear, has helped me begin to reconnect with my body and feelings, something I genuinely didn't believe would be possible just a few months ago."
Who this is for:
This work is for women ready to meet themselves in the body with depth, compassion and respect. Given TRM covers 4 pillars, there are many ‘gateways’ that may bring women to this work. My work isn’t for women who’ve only experienced sexual trauma.
You might be here because you're:
Carrying imprints of complex sexual trauma that talk therapy / somatic work alone hasn't reached, or maybe you're stepping in to processing an experience for the first time.
You’ve worked through stuff and feel better on the whole but still feel your carrying something in the pelvis or with in your body related to your experience.
Living in relational wounding, patterns of fawning, people-pleasing, avoidance or losing yourself in closeness with others.
Stuck in a nervous system pattern of burnout, exhaustion, chronic tension.
Feel disconnected from your pelvis, intimacy, pleasure, orgasm, desire or your own sexuality, and feel ready to reconnect with that part of you.
Feel a sense of shame, guilt or disgust when you think about pleasure, your desires, or sex.
Struggle with boundaries, embodied autonomy and consent and knowing and naming what you want and need.
Stuck in patterns around pleasure or intimacy that feel unfulfilling, boring, safe and/or familiar.
In a relationship but notice a lack of arousal, wondering if you're broken or something is wrong with you.
Ready for something slower, deeper, and more embodied than "doing the work" has felt like so far.
You feel disconnected from your body, your life, yourself and don’t know what to do anymore.
Have pain during penetration, Vaginismus, scarring from birth , re-occuring pelvic issues / pelvic pain.
You have painful bleeds or live out of sync with the natural cyclical nature of the female body.
You recognise you don’t enjoy sex, you’ve never learnt what you actually want pleasure or sex to feel like for you.
Lack sensation in your body.
Wanting to awaken your erotic imagination after trauma, being a mama, or long-term relationship.
Navigating a major life arch and all the emotional material that arises - post partum, perimenopause etc.
Want to expand your erotic, life force energy, sense of power and enhance your sexual identity.
Wanting to build safety, trust, and pleasure capacity in the body.
Wanting to heal sexual shame influenced by religion, family, or cultural narratives.
You want a practitioner who understands and can meet the complexity and nuance of your lived experience.
Somatic Sexology & Sexological Bodywork is body-based work that brings sexological understanding together with somatic practices and nervous-system-led techniques. The work is supportive in reconnecting you with pleasure, desire, sensation and erotic aliveness. It's educational and somatic in nature, not tantric massage or sex work. Sessions move at the pace your nervous system can hold, with you directing the work throughout.
Teaching modalities are varied, and may include mindful practices of breath, touch, and body awareness. Genital and pleasure mapping, work with consent and boundaries, scar tissue remediation, and self pleasure coaching. SB work can help strengthen presence in the body and capacity for pleasure, alongside supporting you to navigate things that hinder intimacy, pleasure and sex. Trained through The School of Somatic Sexology.
"I don't tend to go into a session with a plan of what I want to work on, but somehow Lydia facilitates and guides me through discussion and practical physical activities from which I've experienced profound physical and emotional release. With her guidance, I feel I am finally coming home to my body and healing my nervous system. reconnecting with parts of myself that have gone into hiding, that I've pushed down through shame or abandoned as a way of surviving over the years. Lydia is gently and compassionately helping me to be more curious, to reprogram my nervous system, and shed the armour I've unconsciously built up. For someone who is an expert in hypervigilance and people-pleasing, this is no mean feat — but I'm confident I'll get there."
"I've had a few 1:1 sessions of somatic psychotherapy with Lydia and I can already feel a positive change in my nervous system and my levels of anxiety. I've had experience of more talking-based therapies in the past, and although I felt a positive benefit from these initially, I always found myself thinking, 'Is this it? Why do I feel something is missing? It's me, I must be broken and unfixable.' Lydia is clearly a highly skilled and knowledgeable practitioner who radiates such warmth and kindness. I feel completely confident and secure in her ability to hold me safely during our sessions."
"One of the biggest shifts has been a new sense of clarity. I can recognise which part of me is showing up, and instead of becoming overwhelmed or lost in it, I'm learning how to stay curious and present - a huge change, and one I don't take for granted. There have definitely been challenges along the way, and I know there are probably more ahead. But throughout this process, Lydia has always been patient and attuned. She's always met me exactly where I am, and waited with me until I've felt ready to take the next step. That kind of support has made it possible to face parts of myself I once avoided, and to begin believing that healing isn't just a concept, it's something I can actually feel."
How sexual trauma touches all off this:
Sexual trauma rarely stays contained to a single event or memory. It moves through everything.
Trauma & healing: Sexual trauma doesn't just live in the mind as a story. It lives in the body, the nervous system, the tissues, the pelvis, the emotional / physical and spiritual sense of self a woman has.
Sexuality & pleasure: This is often where sexual trauma hides most quietly. Numbness during intimacy. Dissociating without noticing. Desire that's gone missing. Pleasure that feels dangerous, or simply unreachable. You have sexual compulsions but sense it’s not from a space of sexual liberation and autonomy. None of this means something is wrong with you, it means your body learned to protect you, and hasn't yet learned it's safe to stop.
Relational wounding: Sexual trauma can result in C-PTSD, creating complexity in how the body relates. Trauma teaches the body to fawn, to over-give, over-explain, shrink, or perform safety in relationship rather than actually feel it. Boundaries can feel impossible to hold, or impossible to know you even have.
Nervous system patterns: Fawn and freeze responses that started as survival in one moment can become the default setting for a whole life, showing up in work, friendships, intimacy, and how much space you feel allowed to take up in a room.
And beyond these four, sexual trauma can shape how a woman experiences and inhabits her body. Research now shows this can impact pregnancy and birth, the menstrual cycle, medical appointments, the relationship with touch, and a woman’s innate sense of safety in her own skin. Reverence 1:1 is built to support all parts of you.
How this actually comes together
It starts with a call. We talk through what you're looking for, what's brought you here, and what you need to know before deciding anything. You maybe looking to start somatic sexology work from the start, or therapeutic processing, so together we decide a start point.
If you choose to go ahead, we hold that intention together with the pillars and philosophy of Reverence as the framework underneath everything, and the intelligence of your body leading what actually unfolds session to session. This includes somatic sexology when and if it's right for your process; it's never separate from the rest of the work, but woven through it as one thread among several.
Autonomy and consent sit at the centre of all of it. I bring the full range of my training and skill to every session but when the work moves into somatic sexology specifically, that's never assumed. It comes with its own learning agreements, waivers, and clear conversation about the intention behind what we're doing, whether we're working online or in person. This keeps the journey cohesive for both of us, and keeps informed consent at the centre throughout, giving space for each pillar to arise only when and if it's right.
In plain terms: I won't take you from therapeutic somatic processing into somatic sexology work without talking it through with you first.
I work both in person and online, with immersive days available for clients wanting to travel for hands on - hands in pelvic work.
After the initial consult call, theres an option to book a taster session then it’s a minimum commitment of 6, 10 or 12 sessions together given the depth of work. Payment plans available for all options.
